Djibouti ECTN Certificate

Djibouti ECTN Certificate

The Djibouti Ports and Free Zone Authority has recently announced an important update for cargo entering its ports. According to the latest regulations, the ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) process will now be mandatory for all cargo entering Djibouti ports. This means that all shippers, exporters, or freight forwarders must obtain the ECTN at the port of loading before the cargo makes its way to Djibouti.

It is essential to note that this new regulation will be effective as of June 15th, 2023. Therefore, shippers and others involved in the transportation of goods should ensure they are familiar with the ECTN process and make the necessary arrangements to comply with the regulations by this date. By doing so, they can avoid any potential delays or penalties that may arise due to non-compliance. The Djibouti Ports and Free Zone Authority has implemented these regulations to streamline cargo tracking and ensure greater transparency in the shipping industry.
